What are we up to?

Since the end of our experiment, we have been trying to spread awareness on the issues we encountered. Specifically, we have given talks at a number of venues, including Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad (IIM-A), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), Rotary International, Indian Institute of Technology – Delhi (IIT-D), National Law School (NLS) Bangalore, Planning Commission of India and at several TEDx conferences in India.

Also…

While living like average Indians, we were frequently undernourished. That experience also highlighted how overnourished we were before our experiment. However, unlike those who cannot afford to eat enough, the many who are – how do we say this – plump – are so by choice. If this goes unchecked, it will be a disaster for our future. The population dividend will soon turn into a deficit thanks to lost productivity and increased medical costs that come with lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular problems. And, nearly half the urban population of India currently faces this risk.

Let’s make sure it doesn’t get to that. Let’s do something about it. We have established HealthifyMe for exactly that purpose. We have also formed an online community to spread the fitness virus.

Because, Well is Good!
